RUBY RED
I don’t like the stickers on fruit.
Please pluck the stickers off the fruit.
The sticker ruins the rotund nature of the bowl,
of the grapefruit, it ruins my vision
of the piece of fruit, so therefore
we must pluck the sticker off the fruit- to preserve it,
in its whole.

Pile the stickers in a little tiny bow-
and throw them away, somewhere unknown,
somewhere where they will rot in a landfill,
where they will not biodegrade

But my fruit will look beautiful

On my table, on my side table,
On my coffee table

I will rearrange the fruit and I will forget about the stickers

I’ll forget about the sticker
which
allowed me to find the fruit

Even though it was in a bag,
and if it was in a bag
Why did they have to put a sticker on each fruit?
(It’s very confusing.)
Why is one fruit 6.99 for a bag of 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,
yet one is 1.29 at Trader Joe's.
I’m confused –
and the labeling of the fruit!
And the bag of the fruit-
can that bag be recycled,
can it not be recycled?
Where does it go, where does the label go?
Where does this fruit even come from?
What does it mean?
What is the SKU?
